It is the only museum in Normandy reproducing a German air base. Carpiquet had an important role during the Battle of Britain between 1940-1941. It is also the site of an incredible feat of resistance that we will tell you about. It is the only museum in France where you can see the two German fighters together: Messerschmitt 109 and Focke Wulf 190.
